Are You Kidding Me?

My husband, his brother, his father and our good family friend have been informed that as of December 15, they no longer have jobs. Right before Christmas, can it get any better? Sometimes I just wish things would go well for more than a moment or two, it feels like we haven't been able to catch a break for the last year and a bit. What is the most devastating thing of all is that I was actually looking forward to Christmas this year after a dismal one last year. The crappiest thing is that it affects Shane's whole family. Now instead of debating on what presents we will be getting our girls this year, we will be trying to figure out how to keep a roof over our heads and our bills paid. Excuse me if I sound a little bitter right now.

  2. Oh Margaret I am so sorry. What a crappy turn of events, and at Christmas too. I hope all this resolves into something positive.

    Thinking of you.

  3. Margaret, I am so devastated for you! I just want to puke. You are not alone my friend. We just got out of this hole (been fighting with a busy signal and the Unemployment site all morning) and you and Shane will too, but what a bunch of scrooges to do this to a family right before the holidays. Especially yours. I'm PISSED! Big hug dear!

Deep breath, you will find a way, and you can still have a good Christmas. You've been through harder...I too am saying ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? for you.

    Thinking of you!

  7. I am so sorry for you guys! We were in this position last year...well with Nick in school the last 5 Christmas' were rough, but last year was the worst when he was done with school, looking for a job, and no hope of things getting better. They did though, just like they will for you too. Let's pray for new beginnings in 2010 for all of us.

  15. Oh, Margaret :( This is HORRIBLE news. You do not need to excuse yourself for sounding bitter! Not at all. I am so, so sorry to hear this. If there is anything at all we can do? Probably not :( Name it, if there is.
I'm keeping fingers crossed that an opportunity will present it itself really, really soon.

  17. I read this verse and thought of you this morning. I have no idea where you are at mentally as you read this, but I want you to know I am praying for you and thinking of you with love.

    Romans 12:12.

    Rejoice in hope,

    Be patient in tribulation,

    Be constant in prayer
